Hello and welcome!
I am a gardener of many years standing. At one time I exhibited Dahlias, growing mainly giants which I still like to grow today in my garden. I won the National Dahlia Champion Award for S.E. Essex years ago (too many that I will not reveal when). I have also won many competitions associated with national gardening magazines. You may find me on other sites using the name Suelen. Currently I write for Garden News once a month, sharing details of what has been happening in my garden, success or failure. My article is usually printed 3rd week of the month.
Although my passion is gardening, I am a keen photographer. I particularly like macro photography. I do take landscape shots too since I live in rural Norfolk where there are lots of opportunities for photographs. In fact, a canal runs right outside my front door and this has ducks, swans and other wildlife. Lots of canal boats go past too, mainly in the summertime. Norfolk has big skies and acres of farmland. This makes for ideal photographic opportunites.
In 2012 I was lucky enough to receive two Commended Awards from Kew. I entered their International Garden Photography Competition which is run every year. My pictures have been printed in Kew's book which is produced in association with the competition. You will find my Commended entries in my Portfolio.
Thank you for looking.
